  • I like lists
  • I'm obsessed with Avocados
  • Getting married is absolutely the last thing I want to do
  • I hate silence, music must be on at all times unless I'm sleeping
  • my music is always at the same volume: loud

Locks of love

A few weeks ago I went from having hair half way down my back to hair barely touching my neck.  I thought I would do something worth while with my hair so I thought I would donated my hair to the wonderful people at Locks of Love all the way in Florida.  Thanks to Tori for the photo progression...and excuse the double chin...

THE COLBERT REPORT : MACKLEMORE & RYAN LEWIS [ HD ]

I like this interview

Ariel's guide to Happiness

I would say 98% of the time I am just the happiest person ever.  Lots of people comment on it and wonder how I am just so happy all the time.  It's pretty easy.  Here are my tips:

1.) Do shit that makes you happy like hobbies.  Make time for them!
2.) Listen to good music.  The more uplifting and positive the better or anything that makes you happy.
3.) Read books
4.) Have a positive attitutde...Not a single person in the world likes a Debbie Downer
5.) Everyday is a new day...treat it that way!
6.) Get rid of the people who bring you down.  Why are you friends with them in the first place?
7.) Do not worry about things you can't control.  It is seriously the biggest waste of time, like ever.
8.) Dance like a damn fool
9.) Smile.  If you smile, everyone else will start smiling too unless they are an asshole.
10.) Be grateful for everyday.  Sometimes I forget this but I think "I'm alive...that's pretty awesome".

It's basically all about your attitude.  Change it if it sucks and I promise you will be a happy person and people like happy people.

adventures in wedding planning

I have taken on the great responsibility of helping my friend, Cheyanne, plan her wedding and for someone who hasn't done this before we are absolutely killing it.  We have matching Vera Bradley planners to keep everything organized and this has spilled into my everyday life.  I don't think I have been this organized and on track since I was in college!

The wedding isn't until next year but we have picked out so much especially with the help of pinterest (shocker).  I don't know how brides planned weddings before this life changing website.

So far this is what we've got:
-Save the dates (hopefully August 16th, 2014, if the venue has the that date still available)
-Venue, Beardslee Castle (http://beardsleecastle.com/)
-Favors, personalized M&M's
-Flowers
-Bridesmaids dress styles
-Colors, Dark Purple with hints of Emerald Green
-Centerpieces
-Possible Photographers

Tomorrow we check out the castle and ask our thousands of questions!

Look for more of our ideas on Pinterest!!

The Out List

Today I got home from working an overnight and I didn't feel like going to bed right away so I turned on HBO and they had a documentary on called "The Out List".

Amazing.

It had mostly celebrities, politicians and even some athletes talking about their lives being gay and marriage equality.

This documentary made me do and feel a lot of different things.  In one hour I laughed, was deeply inspired and then I got very angry.  Then I just cried

and cried

and cried.

I cried mainly because I was inspired by their stories of acceptance and love and overcoming obstacles.

Then I cried of the injustices they are still being subjected too.  While we, as a society, are making leaps and bounds for equality we need to keep going so people who are in love have the same rights across the board.  We are not finished!

I highly suggest you watch it whether you are straight, gay, lesbian, bi, transgender, purple, yellow, polka dot, whatever.  Be inspired to make a difference so all of our brother's and sisters have the same rights as we do!
