Makeup!!

I am a sucker for makeup.  I love it and good makeup goes a long way and makes a huge difference from either no makeup or other brands.  Here are a few of my favorites and absolute must haves!!

Chanel's Nourishing Mascara Base
I like this because it lengthens your eyelashes, a lot.  Then you just apply your regular mascara for super long eyelashes.

Chanel's waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner
Stays on all day and night with no smudging!

Chanel's Quadra Eye Shadow
with a little a primer or not, stays on just as long as the eyeliner and looks fantastic...I know that you aren't suppose to have eyeshadow longer than a year or two but this will seriously last you YEARS!!  I have had two of these since 2007/2008 and still use them!!

Chanel's Soft Touch Eye Shadow
Perfect if you just want to throw a little makeup on!

Benefit's Bad Girl Lash Mascara
I have tried nearly every type of mascara out there and this is by far my favorite.  Incredible volume and minimal clumping!

Covergirl and Olay's Simply Ageless Foundation
I use to use Chanel Foundation and since I go through a lot, this is exactly the same and much cheaper.  It's like a magic eraser and gets rid of all the red spots I get on my cheeks.

Sephora's Liquid Eyeliner
I adore cat eyes and think they are so classy.  This is what I use to achieve my look!

Today the Supreme Court starts hearing cases on marriage equality.

I am a fan of this.

I think it is absolutely ridiculous that we are still discriminating against HUMANS in this country, you know the land of the "FREE".  Why can't people, who are contributing members of society, marry who they want?  I can't believe that this is even an issue in 2013.

 

Running will set you free!!

Before January, I thought I would never be a runner but just walking got boring.  Since I have started running, I lost thirty pounds, eliminated severe back pain due to a degenerative disk and a clearer mind which helps with sleep.  In general, I feel like a happier person.  If I ever find myself not happy but stressed, running is a quick fix.  I would say it's a top five "best thing that has ever happened to me".

However, I haven't ran in about three weeks :( My heel tattoo has kept me from the gym for fear of rubbing off the scab (gross, I know) but it's practically healed so to the gym!

I can't wait : )

 I can't wait to do this...this may be the first thing Allison and I do once we get to Berlin

First day!!!

This morning I started the liver enhancements which I will be doing for the next two weeks!

So far so good...

Every morning, one starts their day drinking a cranberry drink which consists of course, cranberry concentrate, lemon, water, and apple cider vinegar. I thought it would be disgusting but it's actually really good.  To sweeten it up, I added two tiny packets of stevia which is a natural, healthier sweetener. YUMMY!

My biggest fear for the next five days is that I will basically be starving.  After breakfast, it's no longer a fear.  I had low fat cottage cheese and mixed berries sweetened with stevia, I'm stuffed!

I am slightly bummed that there will be no carbs for the next two weeks or caffeinated coffee :( But I get to eat an avocado everyday which is great because they are my favorite!!  After five days, I can add fish and eggs, yay!!

Today, lunch will be a big salad, with oranges and grapes for snacks and for dinner balsamic marinated Portobello mushroom "steaks" with green bean and garlic sauteé and roasted broccoli!

This could work!!!

My dearest friend, Tori teaches a class and helps people get back on the health highway and I have been trying to catch a ride on it for a bit.  She has finally picked me up!  I start on Monday and basically will be eating super healthy and trying to get my liver back in shape to actually lose fat.  This will be a great blogging experience and hopefully help keep me on track.  My menus for the week are planned, including three basic meals and three snacks.  Deciding what I'm going to eat is a trick to make sure I don't starve all day long.  Anyways, if anyone wants to post some of their favorite veggie recipes that'd be awesome!!  I will be posting anything I find in case any of you would like to try it!

I have been waiting for this DVD for months!!!!  It's finally here!!! A collection of my favorite bands music videos and making of's which are hilarious.  These Germans are just fantastic but don't look up the lyrics, you'll be offended.
