Day four

Didn't do too much today since I couldn't sleep last night.

We got the museum Island pass which allows you to visit every museum (EXCEPT the Berlin Dome--literally the meanest lady I have ever encountered here, "this is not a museum!") there for €18!

We didn't realize it was valid only for a day since the other pass is for three days.  So today we engaged in rapid fire museum visits.  We went to the old national gallery, the old museum and the new museum in a matter of 3 1/2 hours! Boom, nailed it.  The new museum houses the most famous piece of Egyptian artifacts, the bust of Nefretiti.  It was quite the sight because when I think of anything Egyptian, besides pyramids, I think of that! Very cool!

Since Berlin is finally experiencing bad weather, Allison and I are drinking bier and playing scrabble.  Our lives are hard!

Tomorrow, on our last official day in Berlin we plan on doing some shopping and relaxing in the Tiergarten with a stop at the Reichstag, Germany's parliament building!

Tschüss!
